Slush — one of the leading startup events in the world — deserves to be mentioned. Once a year in Helsinki, Finland, Slush brings together the most promising startups from the region and far beyond to meet top- tier angel investors, venture capitalists, and media from all around the world.
Slush has grown from being a 300-person assembly to a world-renowned event attracting 17,500 attendees and one million live-stream viewers
in 2016. More than 2,300 startups, 1,100 venture capitalists, and 600 journalists from over 120 countries came to Slush in 2016 to drive business, and to experience the phenomenal atmosphere. Besides Helsinki, the event was organized in 2016 in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Singapore. Despite the growing scale, the philosophy behind Slush has remained the same — to serve the next generation of ground- breaking founders.
