The above does not limit the right of persons who are entitled to free movement in the EU to engage themselves in emloyment in foreign missions.
Locally employed staff members perform variable support tasks. They also bring important local knowledge and continuity to the work of the foreign missions in Finland (please note section 1.13).
1.1.5 Private Servants
Private servants are in the domestic service of a head of mission or a member of the staff. Private servants do not enjoy privileges and immunities as determined in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (please note section 1.14).
1.1.6 Table of Personnel Categories
The following table provides a summary of the authorities responsible for issuing residence permits to the members of missions and to their family members as well as the types of identity cards issued to them by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. These matters are described in more detail later in this chapter.
